We help businesses build and manage communities. From growth-stage startups to large corporations, our team has the experience to turn chaotic ecosystems into highly productive ones.

Why does community matter in business?

It's an interesting phenomena that the word "community" has taken such a precedent in business today. Once upon a time, it was the norm. You didn't need a degree in it, there was no profession, and there was certainly little money involved. From civic neighborly duties, to political activism, "community leaders" were the original masters. However, with the advent of the Internet, and the geographical displacement of populations, people started craving a sense of community online and at work. As such, those with the communication, collaboration, and emotional intelligence, started seeing professional opportunities to assist in an increasingly digital world.

From a marketing perspective, communities are often used to describe fans or customers of brands, companies and influencers. People who not only tune in to what you have to say, but also buy from you. In order to be considered a community, however, the relationship must move beyond mere transactional. While networks and audiences can be about breadth, communities are about depth.

Don't just take our word for it though. A University of Michigan study found that customers spend 19% more after joining a company’s online community. A company called DEWALT saved close to $6 million in research costs alone since launching its insight community. The worldwide online communities market will reach $1.2 billion by 2019, according to advisory firm IDC.

Community + Bitcoin

To the left is a snapshot of a comment shared with us from someone in the Bitcoin space. They had originally been solely focused on their tech and business, but didn't see the real importance or value of "community." Once community interactions (or lack thereof) had a direct impact on their bottomline, they began to pay attention. This is when we realized community management was a real value add for blockchain startups.
